According to the Center for Reproductive Rights, Trump-era policies restricted or froze federal funding streams that directly reduced access to reproductive healthcare for women nationwide. In the first 100 days, he blocked Title X funding – Title X clinics are the sole source of health care for many patients. In 2023, the program supplied millions of people with essential care including birth control, infertility care, testing and treatment for STis, breast and cervical cancer screenings, HPV vaccinations, and HIV medications.
